Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with former mentor Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his first trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Victory also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my children simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His defensive strategy and regular reactions on the tennis court had caused observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
He defended 4 early chances in a close third set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
